Card Makers lament (a short story)

Hello friends,
Here we are, at the end of National Stamping Month and you know what October 1st is? Why, it’s World Card Making Day! What a great day to follow a whole month dedicated to stamping.
The problem is, (and maybe you find this to be true also) I am busy on that day. I have obligations that will keep me out from early morn to late at night.   The whole day will pass by without a chance for me to participate.

That is sad because I do like to create cards. If I could better manage my time I would craft a card every single day. There is always something going on that could use a card.

For instance, last month I made a card for my mother-in-law after her knee surgery.  Then I made special thank you cards for friends who helped us with a big project (with the help of the Create Kindness kit). In October I have 2 family birthdays right away and 2 anniversaries later in the month.  Ah, so many activities, so little time.
So as I lament, I encourage those who aren’t busy on October 1st to enjoy the day and make a card. For those like me though, who can’t sit down and make a card on World Card Making day, don’t despair. Crafting a card and giving it at the right time for the right reason is, as we said last month, an incredible act of kindness. That which should be done every day, around the world.
